Date for APPG diabetes summit announced

The date for the next All Party Parliamentary Group for Diabetes meeting has been announced.

The Diabetes Innovation Summit will take place on Thursday, October 27 and will take place in Manchester.

The conference will focus on cutting edge diabetes care and technology, attracting Members of Parliament. leading medical experts, patient groups and cutting-edge technology companies.

For the duration of 2016, the APPG plans to look at what practical solutions there are to reducing variation in care.

The APPG will publish a report with its findings and recommendations at the end of the year.

The chair of the APPG for Diabetes the Rt Hon Keith Vaz MP said: “The APPG plans to look, in depth, at what practical solutions there are to reducing variations with the aim of making clear recommendations for change.”
