Healthcare professionals working within the field of diabetes are being encouraged to enter a specific category at the HSJ Value in Healthcare Awards.

The deadline for submitting an application in the Improving Value Through Better Diabetes Care category is January 5, 2018 and will then be judged by a panel of experts working within healthcare.

The HSJ Value in Healthcare Awards seek to recognise and reward outstanding efficiency and improvement by the NHS. It recognises excellent use of resources, but they also seek out examples of demonstrable improvement in outcomes, both within back office functions and clinical initiatives.

Judges will be looking for teams who can prove that a change in approach has significantly bolstered the quality of diabetes care and has improved financial value.

Organisers say entering the awards is the “best way to highlight and showcase your team’s achievements” as well as motivating staff.

The awards is also a good way of spreading good practice across the UK, learn from others or help teach others new innovations. It also gives all winners national recognition among colleagues and peers.

Award winners will be announced at a ceremony in Manchester on June 7, 2018 at Manchester Central, Manchester.
