Diabetes author in book festival talk
Author Dr David Cavan will be talking about his bestselling book ‘Reverse Your Diabetes’ at the Bradford Literature Festival this weekend.
He will be tackling the myths and misinformation about Type 2 diabetes with Colin Philpott, a former Director of the National Media Museum and BBC programme maker who now runs the lobbying group Bradford Breakthrough and is vice-chair of NHS Bradford Districts CCG.
Dr Cavan’s talk takes place on Saturday, May 23, and falls within the festival’s wellbeing strand which features a number of events on physical and emotional health.
Reverse Your Diabetes – published in association with diabetes.co.uk, the UK’s largest online diabetes community – provides all the information and support needed to take control of Type 2 diabetes and, potentially, to reverse it.
Based on the latest research and proven results, this clear and effective programme outlines the key steps you need to take, to turn around your health: watch what you eat, get more active, monitor your progress and commit to change.
The festival, now in its second year, celebrates the written and spoken word and has renowned authors from around the world gathering to create a must-see-and-hear literary showcase.
The talk takes place in the Richmond Building Great Hall from 1.30 to 2.30pm.
