The deadline for the 2015 Quality in Care (QiC) Diabetes programme is less than one week away.

Teams and individuals working within the field of diabetes have until 5pm on Thursday, May 28, to register entries.

Now in its fifth year, QiC Diabetes promotes good practice in diabetes care with an awards ceremony taking place in the autumn.

Emma Clear, Quality in Care programme co-ordinator, said: “A QiC award means that your work can be fully acknowledged as improving the quality of life for people living with diabetes and subsequently shared with the wider diabetes community.

“You will find all you need to know on the QiC Diabetes website, including a full list of categories for 2015 with three new additions introduced this year. QiC Diabetes has so far celebrated the achievements of more than 125 projects from NHS organisations across the UK in a variety of categories reflecting priorities in diabetes, a condition that is diagnosed in 3.2 million people in the UK.

“Entering is simple, so download an entry form now and good luck with your submission. Don’t delay, entry deadline date is Thursday, May 28.”

The programme is sponsored by Sanofi, though the company has no editorial control over any of its contents, and QiC Diabetes’ supporters include the Primary Care Diabetes Society (PCDS), Training Research and Education for Nurses in Diabetes (TREND) and Diabetes UK.
