Experts line up for new diabetes event
A new conference aiming to “empower patients to manage their own care” takes place this autumn with a host of leading speakers lined up.
Professor Chris Ham, Chief Executive of the King’s Fund, National Director for Patients and Information at NHS England Tim Kelsey and Sir Bruce Keogh, Medical Director, NHS England, will be delivering Keynote speeches.
Toby Baker, Event Director of Diabetes Professional Care 2015, said: “The show has been designed by healthcare professionals for healthcare professionals, with the key focus on providing our visitors with all relevant information to empower patients to manage their own care.
“We will be discussing the critical industry topics, sharing first-hand experiences and looking at the latest innovations. The conference is CPD accredited, which means healthcare professionals can pick up CPD points live on the show floor, so attending the show will also support a delegate’s professional development.”
The conference is free to attend and will also include over 100 workshops supporting the main conference agenda.
Other events set to take place over the two days include the Digital Health Kitchen, where 10 start-up organisations will showcase the best and most innovative products and services in the treatment and management of diabetes care.
The Diabetes Village will also be available, providing a networking and meeting place for healthcare professionals and researchers to speak with like-minded individuals in the diabetes field.
