Commissioning, Self management Self-monitoring of blood glucose Technology

A flash glucose monitoring map has been developed to help people with diabetes pinpoint what the technology policy is in their local area.

The Diabetes UK Flash Map will help users to find out the situation in their area, showing the decisions on access in each area that the organisation is already are aware of.

The information about each area has been provided by people with diabetes, Diabetes UK teams on the ground and charities JDRF and INPUT.

The charity is also urging people to get in touch if they have relevant information about local policies with their area so it can “challenge areas with unfair restrictions and put pressure on them to review their position”.

An online pack to help people find out more about flash technology and how they can access it has also been developed.
