Quality improvement work stream announced
A new quality improvement work stream project has been unveiled as part of the new National Diabetes Audit (NDA) three-year contract.
This improvement project will cover four key areas of diabetes specialist care including inpatient, pregnancy, footcare and transition.
The NDA team at Diabetes UK will manage and deliver this project and are seeking to recruit a Quality Improvement Lead to take an advisory and leadership role.
It is a one-day per week post, either on a consultancy or secondment basis for a fixed term of three years. The expectation is that the person recruited will have excellent knowledge or experience of improvement techniques and tools in supporting change within healthcare systems.
The successful applicant will lead the development and delivery of the national quality improvement workshops, support for specialist diabetes services in their implementation of care improvements and the monitoring and evaluation of the QI programme.
