Teams gear up for Diabetes Prevention Week
Primary care healthcare professionals and staff are gearing up to take part in Diabetes Prevention Week which kicks off next week.
The campaign has been developed to raise awareness of the Healthier You: NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme (NDPP), increase programme referrals and encourage members of the public to be more aware of the symptoms of type 2 diabetes.
To help interested parties participate in the week being held across 16 to 22 April, an online resource pack has been created that is packed with marketing materials.
There is also a Diabetes Prevention Week toolkit that includes materials, such as posters, leaflets, bunting and stickers, to help staff at GP surgeries host their local diabetes prevention events.
