Referrals and take-up rates for the first wave of the NHS Healthier You: Diabetes Prevention Programme are being exceeded, according to Public Health England.

The monthly e-bulletin also provided details on the mobilisation sessions which are now underway with Year 2 sites, prior to commencement of service delivery early in 2017/18, dependent on local circumstances and planning.

Following the receipt of no bids for the Gloucestershire contract in the main procurement exercise, progression for a separate call-off process for this site has started and the contract will be awarded shortly, prior to commencement of service mobilisation.

Planning is also underway for the roll out of the programme for the remaining 25 per cent of England so that full programme coverage with services are ready to go live in April 2018.

Mobile Health ha been launched and is currently undertaking the assessment of the digital behaviour change intervention products to be evaluated. The first stage of this process has been completed with 86 providers putting themselves forward for consideration.

A total of providers met the initial requirements and have been invited to undertake a detailed self-assessment, responding to a series of in-depth of questions.

A long list of 12-15 promising digital behaviour change intervention products will undergo a community review by a number of experts in digital solutions and behaviour change interventions, and the evaluation, which will be carried out in May 2017, will help to identify the products which will be ready to implement later this year.
