Date announced for diabetes charity fundraiser

Healthcare professionals who treat people with diabetes in the UK are invited to attend a national diabetes charity day in May.

Hosted by GoggleDocs, the Viva Las Vegas fundraiser will take place on Saturday, May 21 at the Royal College of General Practitioners in London.

Entitled ‘Raising a Smile for Diabetes’, the summer rooftop party will give dedicated healthcare professionals an evening off to enjoy a night of first-class entertainment.

Alongside the party, registered delegates will be able to attend an educational event which is being held in the morning.

Tickets cost £100 per person, with all proceeds raised donated to several diabetes charities, including The InDependent Diabetes Trust, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the Diabetes Research & Wellness Foundation and the Diabetes Outreach Prevention Programmes International.

Medical communications and pharmaceutical industry professionals are also eligible to attend the event, which is being sponsored by the pharma company Roche.
