Date unveiled for Hypo Awareness Week 2022
Hypo Awareness Week will return in October 2022 to once again spread awareness about hypoglycaemia.
Hospital and primary care sites across the UK are invited to take part in the renowned awareness week that will take place from Monday, October 3, to Sunday, October 9.
Now in its 11th year, the national campaign gives the diabetes community the chance to discuss, and roll out education about, hypoglycaemia across UK hospitals and primary care settings.
Registered sites will receive a printed resource pack which includes posters, stickers, t-shirts and pens.
For the first time this year, sites will also receive a pledge board to share key messages around hypoglycaemia.
In addition, sites have the opportunity to win an excellence award by sharing their Hypo Awareness Week (HAW) campaign.
Last year 456 sites took part in the annual event.
The highly regarded campaign is organised by Orange Juice Communications, which is now concentrating on delivering a successful HAW this year.
To take part in this year’s HAW, email kate.darby@ojpr.co.uk with the following information: lead organiser’s name, name of trust / organisation, number and names of participating sites, telephone number, address for printed pack and whether or not you require t-shirts and the amount needed (up to four allowed).
This project has been funded by Sanofi who have had no input into any arrangements or content.
