Date unveiled for Inpatient Diabetes Conference 2024
Healthcare professionals involved in diabetes inpatient care are invited to attend a conference dedicated to the subject in June.
The Inpatient Diabetes Conference 2024 will take place on Tuesday, June 11, between 8.45am and 5pm at The Royal Society of Medicine’s headquarters in London.
Hosted by The Royal Society of Medicine, the Association of British Clinical Diabetologists (ABCD) and the Joint British Diabetes Societies (JBDS) for Inpatient Care, the theme of the event is ‘What to do and what not to do’ and it will explore the management of diabetes in an inpatient setting.
A series of expert speakers will inform attendees about the latest developments in how to introduce the latest innovations to help improve glycaemic control, prevent diabetes emergencies and how to measure the effectiveness of the care they deliver.
During this conference, delegates will:
- Learn how to provide an accredited service for inpatient diabetes
- Apply the latest guideline changes in the management of DKA/HHS and how to use diabetes technology effectively
- Learn how to manage challenges faced by people with diabetes on the wards, such as enteral feeding, steroids, peripartum and perioperative periods.
Attendees can also submit an abstract form to share their work.
