Diabetes Care Specialist recognised for support during pandemic
Roche Diabetes Care sales team member Neeta Patel has been recognised with a certificate of appreciation by a customer for supporting surgery staff during the pandemic.
Neeta, who has worked as a Diabetes Care Specialist for four years, has been offering support to the surgery in the form of virtual sessions and meetings to train Dr Carl Deaney and his colleagues on Roche’s products and services.
After taking time to understand their needs as a practice, Neeta delivered a tailored remote presentation to 12 of the healthcare professionals at Dr Deaney’s surgery.
This included information on the diabetes management app, mySugr, which helps people living with diabetes to better understand and manage their diabetes by tracking blood glucose levels and other diabetes data.
Dr Deaney said: “We are all extremely appreciative of Neeta’s support to our Practice during this pandemic. In recognition of this, we award Neeta this certificate of appreciation. It is really good to know that the pharma industry is finding different ways to help and support us in primary care during the pandemic.”
Neeta was delighted to receive the award for her work. “I’m proud of the continuing interaction with customers we’ve had throughout the pandemic. I was also personally delighted that the training I delivered made them feel so highly that they sent this certificate.”
Dr Deaney added: “Our award was our way of saying thank you as we still have patients to care for and we need to stay up to date. The sessions let us meet and review new ideas, it helped us to ensure our patients get the right monitoring with their treatment. We are reviewing the application of the mySugr app but it looks straightforward to use and we will incorporate it into diabetes management programmes in the future.”
