DISN UK to focus on diabetes and frailty in forthcoming webinar
Healthcare professionals are being invited to learn the signs of frailty in people with diabetes in an upcoming virtual event.
Entitled ‘Diabetes and Frailty’, the workshop will explore ways frailty can be incorporated into routine care and increase awareness on the management of diabetes in relation to frailty or vice versa.
Additionally, the webinar will discuss what interventions can be offered and educate attendees on the what frailty looks like, how it presents and how it is measured.
Hosted by the Diabetes Inpatient Specialist Nurse UK group (DISN UK), the free-to-attend workshop will be held on Tuesday, November 16, between 1pm and 3pm.
Jackie McNicholas, Renal Frailty CNS at Imperial College Health NHS Trust will share her expertise on frailty at the webinar.
Frailty Practitioners at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust Sue Lyne and Mark Fincher will also lead presentations during the virtual event.
Attendees will also be given the opportunity to ask questions to the speakers after each session.
