DPC2018 keynote video published online
The keynote presentation by the country’s two diabetes clinical directors at Diabetes Professional Care 2018 (DPC2018) is now available.
The morning keynote ‘An update from NHS England Diabetes’ from day one of the show, which took place on World Diabetes Day, has been published on the DPC2018 website. It was presented by Dr Partha Kar, diabetes consultant and Associate National Clinical Director, Diabetes, NHS England, and Professor Jonathan Valabhji, National Clinical Director for Obesity and Diabetes, NHS England.
Together, they looked back at the various strands of work completed by NHS England in diabetes over the last year, including prevention and digital health initiatives. They also discussed plans for the future.
Diabetes Professional Care was launched by Maggie Meer in 2015 to provide healthcare professionals free access to CPD-accredited education. DPC2018 attracted a record-breaking 4,195 delegates to Olympia, London last month. It is now the leading event for healthcare professionals working in diabetes care.
The unique eight-stream conference programme featured an impressive line-up of policymakers, key opinion leaders and experienced practitioners working on the frontline of diabetes care.
DPC will remain free-to-attend for all healthcare professionals. To register your interest and keep up to date with announcements for next year, click here.
