Entries open for QiC Diabetes Awards 2022
An established awards programme which recognises, rewards and shares initiatives that improve the quality of life for people living with diabetes is now open for applications.
Healthcare professionals have until Friday, July 1 to submit an entry for this year’s Quality in Care (QiC) Diabetes Awards.
Gaining QiC recognition means an initiative has been identified by the NHS, people with diabetes and the wider industry as improving the lives of people with the condition.
The 2022 QiC Diabetes Awards will also acknowledge the exceptional work that has been undertaken during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Now in its 12th year, the annual awards programme is set to return with a brand-new category for 2022, entitled Clinical Pathways Using Technologies. In total, there are 10 awards up for grabs, including three nomination prizes.
Debbie Woods, Head of Medical, General Medicines UK and Ireland at Sanofi, said: “Sanofi is delighted to support the QiC Programme in 2022 and to recognise and reward the innovations that will benefit people living with diabetes.
“The QiC programme is at the forefront of sharing best practice to improve the quality of care, through demonstrating novel solutions to problems encountered by healthcare professionals and those impacted by diabetes on a daily basis.”
She added: “The commitment to quality of care is a core value of the NHS and the QiC programme is a shining example of that value in practice.”
Submissions are welcome from anyone working in the diabetes arena throughout the UK and Ireland.
The judging panel is keen to review a wide spectrum of entries and reward individuals who are making a difference to the lives of people with diabetes, organisers have announced.
Judging will take place on Tuesday, September 6 and the QiC Diabetes 2022 Awards presentation will take place at Sanofi’s headquarters in Reading on Thursday, October 13.
