DESCRIPTION:Open to all professions/members of the multi-disciplinary team who are involved in the care and management of the diabetic patient. \nThis symposium will put forward state of the art\, cutting edge management of the diabetic foot with vascular complications.\nThe following aspects will be covered: \n\nModern diagnosis of the ischaemic foot including the role of imaging.\nVascular intervention: the roles of endovascular treatment and open vascular surgery.\nTreatment of the infected ischaemic foot\, including the best antibiotic options.\nThe management of tissue loss in the ischaemic foot\, exploring bony coverage and wound coverage.\nThe role of the interdisciplinary foot team.\nThe format will be in the form of quick-fire presentations and clinical case studies with round table discussion throughout the day.\nThis event is open to all professions/members of the multi-disciplinary team who are involved in the care and management of the diabetic patient.
