Diabetes healthcare professionals are being invited to enter a prestigious awards programme which rewards and shares innovative practice.

The QiC Diabetes Awards 2022 is now open for applications, with the deadline for the renowned event fast approaching.

Organisers are particularly encouraging entries for three nomination awards, which include Outstanding Educator in Diabetes, Diabetes Professional of the Year and The People’s Award.

Successful applicants will have implemented a new care initiative over the last 12 months which has improved the quality of life for people living with diabetes.

Debbie Woods, Head of Medical, General Medicines UK and Ireland at Sanofi, said: “Sanofi is delighted to support the QiC Programme in 2022 and to recognise and reward the innovations that will benefit people living with diabetes.

“The QiC programme is at the forefront of sharing best practice to improve the quality of care, through demonstrating novel solutions to problems encountered by healthcare professionals and those impacted by diabetes on a daily basis.”

She added: “The commitment to quality of care is a core value of the NHS and the QiC programme is a shining example of that value in practice.”

Entries are welcome from anyone working in the diabetes arena throughout the UK and Ireland. The judging panel is keen to review a wide spectrum of submissions and reward individuals who are making a difference to the lives of people with diabetes, organisers have announced.

The closing date is Friday, August 19. Judging will take place on Tuesday, September 6 and the QiC Diabetes 2022 Awards presentation will take place at Sanofi’s headquarters in Reading on Thursday, October 13.
