The changing shape of clinical care is to be the main theme of this year’s National Conference on Advancing Inpatient Diabetes Care.

The event, which will take place on Tuesday, October 31 at the Hallam Conference Centre in London, offers a diverse agenda that will cover many contemporary aspects of diabetes inpatient care.  This will range from clinical opinion and reports on practical initiatives to updates on the latest research findings. The event was developed to provide a platform for sharing good practice and exchanging ideas.

During the day there will be an update on the National Diabetes Inpatient Audit, a debate about who should develop the diabetes inpatient team and a look at the best way to prevent and manage hyperglycaemia in people without known diabetes.

An impressive line-up has been confirmed, including Gerry Rayman, head of service at the Diabetes and Endocrine Centre at the Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust, who is also chairing the event, and Dr Ketan Dhatariya, a consultant in diabetes, endocrinology and general medicine in Norwich.

The event is CPD accredited for over five hours.
