Main duties of the job
We are pleased to offer an opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced highly specialist practitioner psychologist to join our Diabetes Psychiatry and Psychology Service (DPPS) as part of the adult diabetes team at King’s College Hospital. The successful candidate will provide specialist psychological screening, assessment and treatment to patients with type 1 / complex type 2 diabetes and associated psychological difficulties and become a valuable source of psychological expertise for the multi-disciplinary team (MDT). In addition to direct work with diabetes patients, the embedded nature of this post will ensure frequent opportunities for consultation and teaching within the MDT setting. The diabetes team also has excellent research and development links with the Institute of Psychology, Psychiatry and Neuroscience (IoPPN).
