Parents affected by type 1 diabetes needed to simplify care audit

The authors of an audit which monitors diabetes care among children in England and Wales are looking to make the document easier for parents to understand.

Every year the National Paediatric Diabetes Audit (NPDA) writes a report for parents and carers to help them understand the care their child is getting.

Now they want to make the results of the audit easier for them to understand the content and where to find it. Diabetes UK has teamed up with the NPDA to help them find out more about what parents want.

The charity is holding a one-day workshop in London for parents of children with diabetes to attend. It will take place on Saturday, March 3 from 11am to 2pm.

The only stipulation is attendees must have an interest in knowing more about the quality of diabetes care that children receive. For anyone who wishes to express interest email:
