Quality in Care submission deadline closes in days

The closing date for a major awards programme for healthcare professionals working in the field of diabetes closes in a few days.

Those who wish to nominate someone for a Quality in Care (QiC) Diabetes award now only have three categories choose from with the closing date being Monday, September 2.

The People’s Award is to recognise a diabetes hero, which recognises someone very special who has supported or cared for people with diabetes in 2018.

The second category still available to enter is the Outstanding Educator of the Year prize, which will go to someone who delivers excellence in education, in a specialist or community setting.

The third and final category still open for entrants is the Diabetes Professional of the Year title, which was developed to recognise a healthcare professionals based in the UK or Ireland who has succeeded in raising standards of care over and above their day to day role.

Gaining QiC recognition means an initiative has been highlighted by the NHS, patients and industry as improving the quality of life for people living with diabetes.

The awards ceremony will take place at Sanofi’s Reading headquarters on Thursday, October 17, 2019.
