Consultants, specialist registrars and diabetes specialist nurses are being urged to sign up early if they wish to attend a Monogenic Diabetes course.

The two-day event has been designed to help busy clinicians recognise and treat people with Maturity Onset Diabetes of the Young (MODY) and other forms of monogenic diabetes.

Monogenic Diabetes – Right Diagnosis, Right Treatment will take place on Monday 1, July and Tuesday 2, July at the Peter Chalk Centre at the University of Exeter. It has been  approved by the Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom for 12 category 1 (external) CPD credits.

It will focus on the current practices and new developments in the management of monogenic diabetes.

The programme will include plenary lectures on major topics delivered by Professor Andrew Hattersley and his team of international experts.

Separate small group case-based discussions will focus on key themes and there will be opportunity for interaction, networking and multi-disciplinary team development.

Registration is now open for the course with early bird rates currently available until the March 31, 2019.
