Webinar hosted by Roche to explore digital health technology
A top medical organisation is hosting a digital healthcare webinar later this month.
Roche Diabetes Care is holding a free online event to raise awareness about the benefits of digital technology for healthcare professionals.
The webinar will be held on Wednesday, June 30, between 19:00 and 20:00.
The healthcare industry has seen an increase in the usage of digital tools since the pandemic, with it set to become even more prevalent in the future.
Two highly experienced guests will speak at the webinar to reveal their past involvements and knowledge of digital health technology.
The Chairman of Willows Health Medical Centre Professor Rishabh Prasad and the Director of Public Health in Leicester, Professor Ivan Browne will form a panel and discuss the pros and cons of digital healthcare.
The free to attend webinar will provide information about digital technology assisting patients with self-managed recovery, which will eventually reduce budgets and save the time of health workers.
However, fears surrounding digital healthcare suggest it will cause some patients to delay accessing care, therefore potentially worsening their health.
After the discussion, attendees will be allowed to ask questions to the speakers, which will be overseen by the Medical Affairs Lead at Roche Diabetes Care Claire Marriott.
Medical professionals attending the webinar will expand their knowledge on digital healthcare itself, ways it will shape future relationships between patients and health workers and the advantages of using technology in the healthcare industry.
