Thousands of healthcare professionals are set to attend  UK’s biggest conference and exhibition for those with an interest into the field of diabetes.

Diabetes Professional Care (DPC2018) has become a major annual event for people who are involved in the prevention, treatment and management of diabetes, and its related conditions.

Now in its fourth year, DPC2018 is the UK’s only free CPD-accredited diabetes conference for healthcare professionals and will take place on 14 and 15 November at Olympia, London.

Once again the two-day event is bringing together world-class practitioners and thought leaders, tackling the most pressing issues in diabetes care, such as the increase in childhood obesity and young people being newly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.

This year’s Live Debate is dedicated to childhood obesity and will involve four experts leading a discussion into prevention  there will also be sessions about the topic in the Paediatric to Adolescent and Crossover Care and Diabetes Prevention & Obesity in Practice conference streams.

Once again, the conference’s diverse streams and sessions have been designed to meet the breadth of interests among the delegates, and reflect the latest developments and key issues within the field of diabetes.

A key update to the programme this year is the expansion of DPC’s Diabetes Co-morbidities stream to two days, in a bid to address the vital requirement needed for better information and education on the serious complications of diabetes. This will include a dedicated focus on mental health and wellbeing, renal and diabetic kidney disease, cardiovascular disease and diabetic retinopathy.
