Professor Ketan Dhatariya reappointed as Chair of The Association of British Clinical Diabetologists (ABCD)
Professor Ketan Dhatariya is “humbled” to be reappointed as ABCD Chair, following the completion of his first term of office, three years ago.
His continuing goal as chair is to ensure that through innovation and education that ABCD continues to advocate and support the medical workforce that care for people with diabetes, something he has strived to do in the various roles he has held in the UK.
In his role as Chair, Professor Dhatariya will continue to provide clear leadership to the committee and membership of ABCD.
Professtor Dhatariya said: “I feel humbled that my colleagues have trusted me to continue this important role.
“UK diabetes continues to change rapidly and there are a number of challenges facing our speciality. Working with our partners, I hope that we can address them to ensure that the diabetes workforce remains empowered to ensure that the care of the people under our care is of the highest evidence-based quality.”
