A network for healthcare professionals involved in commissioning to share information about diabetes care has been launched.

Diabetes UK’s Commissioning Network is a free online resource and will provide updates on the latest good practice, news and resources for commissioning and improvement in the field of diabetes.

Monthly updates will be provided and members will also have access to the Shared Practice Library which brings together the latest resources and tools for improving diabetes care.

The forum is the latest addition to the professional groups which are facilitated by Diabetes UK and brings together professionals with an interest in diabetes care.

The aim of these professionals groups is to provide healthcare professionals with a forum to share knowledge, views and experience, to gain information about the evolving world of diabetes care and to feed intelligence back to Diabetes UK from the front-line.

Other groups include the Young Diabetologists and Endocrinologists’ Forum, the DSN Consultative Group, the Primary Care Network, the Joint British Diabetes Societies for Inpatient Care (JBDS-IP) and the Footcare Networks.
