Date of upcoming diabetes inpatient conference unveiled at DUKPC 2025

The Joint British Diabetes Societies (JBDS) for Inpatient Care has announced the date of its national conference.

During the Diabetes UK Professional Conference 2025, Dr Omar Mustafa, Consultant Physician in Diabetes and Chair of the JBDS, revealed that the Inpatient Diabetes Conference will be taking place this year on Friday, June 13.

The conference agenda and location are yet to be unveiled, but Dr Mustafa did confirm that the event will not be held in London this year.

Healthcare professionals are now invited to submit abstracts for the conference, with the deadline for submissions being on Sunday, April 6.

Abstract topics could include real-world impact of accreditation and quality improvement initiatives, innovative models of interprofessional collaboration, enhanced inpatient self-management and patient education and diabetes technology in the inpatient setting.

In addition, they could be on data integration and interoperability for inpatient diabetes management, analytics and AI, addressing health inequalities and wider determinants of health in inpatient settings, seamless transitions of care and case studies.
