Diabetes nurse consultant reflects on career achievements in latest Big Interview

A leading diabetes nurse consultant spoke about his many accomplishments in inpatient care as part of the latest online Big Interview for the Diabetes Times.

Erwin Castro, Diabetes Nurse Consultant at the East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, spoke to the Diabetes Times Editor Oliver Jelley about his achievements as the Chair of the Diabetes Inpatient Specialist Nurse Group UK. Erwin stepped down from the role earlier this year.

Erwin talked about his involvement with Hypo Awareness Week and how the campaign is “critical” in educating a wider audience of healthcare professionals.

He also shared his plans for this year’s Hypo Awareness Week and discussed how technological advancements will shape the future of diabetes care.
