A senior lead diabetes nurse manager from the Hywel Dda Health Board in Wales has been recognised for her contribution to improving patient care.

Ravinder Dosanjh is the recipient of the British Journal of Nursing’s Diabetes Nurse of the Year Award 2025 for demonstrating outstanding diabetes care.

She said: “I am humbled and honoured to have been named Diabetes Nurse of the Year from the British Journal of Nursing.

“It’s a recognition for all the amazing people in diabetes I’ve had the privilege to work alongside. This award is a reflection of the dedication, collaboration, and passion we all share in diabetes care.”

The British Journal of Nursing Awards recognise and celebrate excellence in nursing across various specialties and areas of practice.

They highlight the critical contributions of nurses to healthcare and offer a platform for nurses to gain recognition for their hard work and dedication.

The awards are a prominent event in the nursing community, with nominations typically opening later in the year for the following year’s awards.
