DPC Summer Forum to decipher ADA outcomes
Four top key opinion leaders are coming together to decipher the main outcomes from the American Diabetes Association (ADA) Scientific Conference.
Dr Kevin Fernando, Nurse Consultant Debbie Hicks, Dr David Strain and Consultant Pharmacist Philip Newland-Jones make up the multidisciplinary panel of DPC’s Summer Forum.
The first of five sessions, the post ADA round-up will take place on Wednesday, June 24 from 7pm.
The Summer Forum is a CPD accredited, free-to-access digital series online sessions made up of interactive panel discussions and debates with top diabetes experts.
Accompanying educational resources will support healthcare professionals in translating ADA outcomes into best practice, and ultimately better patient care and outcomes.
The first webinar will cover key take-home messages from the recent virtual ADA 2020 congress to help improve care for people living with diabetes.
DPC Founder Maggie Meer said: “Our expert diabetes multidisciplinary panel spanning primary and secondary care will distil their main learning points from the congress as well as discussing how this learning might be implemented into day-to-day clinical practice.
“If you are a diabetes, cardiovascular or renal specialist from secondary and community care, as well as primary care healthcare professionals with a specialist interest in diabetes, cardiovascular, and renal, our Summer Forum is unmissable.
“I hope you will find this online event helpful and interesting. I invite you to discover many more interviews and educational content in our brand new DPC Digital Hub.”
The next sessions are due to take place on July 1, July 8, July 15 and July 22.
