Grant funding launched for top quality diabetes research

A new funding scheme for high-quality clinical based diabetes research has been announced for healthcare professionals to apply to. 

Launched by the The Diabetes Care Trust and The Association of British Clinical Diabetologists (ABCD) there is a pot of up to £50,000 up for grabs for successful applicants.

A spokesperson said: “We would particularly like to encourage applications from those at an earlier stage of their clinical and academic training, and clinical projects relating to the management and care of people with diabetes.

“The funding scheme will allow access to additional support from the NIHR Clinical Research Networks for research projects, and will also consider projects relating to education, service evaluation and audit.”

Application is made via a downloadable form and the closing date is July 6, 2021.
