A national conference with a reputation for being at the forefront of diabetes education is set to become the “number one virtual event in the 2020 diabetes calendar”.

With staging a physical event not an option under current COVID-19 measures, the organisers of Diabetes Professional Care (DPC2020) have developed a unique virtual conference offering for healthcare professionals.

They have taken the responsible decision to stage the event online to ensure that the free education provided by DPC will still be available to thousands of healthcare professionals working in diabetes.

Now plans are in place to ensure DPC2020 Virtual will be the most cutting-edge, online event that any healthcare professionals are likely to attend this year.

We have gone above and beyond to ensure DPC2020 is so much more than a series of online webinars DPC Founder Maggie Meer

The event will still be free-to-attend and CPD-accredited for healthcare professionals who deliver care and support to people living with, or at risk of developing diabetes and its related conditions.

Those who register will also be able to meet online with friends and colleagues and take advantage of the interactive virtual exhibition, the engaging agenda and hear some of the world’s leading diabetes experts speak about their specialist areas.

Action-packed agenda

There will also be an event host, virtual networking and symposiums as part of the action-packed agenda.

DPC Founder Maggie Meer said: “We have gone above and beyond to ensure DPC2020 is so much more than a series of online webinars and we have fully incorporated compelling content which will be wrapped up in the most innovative virtual format there currently is.

“This event, which promises to be a world-class online experience, has been developed as part of DPC’s commitment to MDT working, providing free education and sharing good practice to all healthcare professionals working within the field of diabetes. We’re certain DPC2020 Virtual will become the number one virtual event in the 2020 diabetes calendar.”

DPC2020 Virtual will run on the 11, 12 and 13 November with each day’s programme starting from 830am to 2pm and then from 630pm to 830pm in the evenings.

The three days are open for all healthcare professionals and will be suitable for all levels of experience and specialisms – from policy-level through to senior clinicians, primary care, community care and those that have just started their careers in relation to diabetes.

DPC is also really excited to have teamed up with the DRWF to run a patient education and information virtual event on Saturday, November 14 which healthcare professionals are also welcome to attend.
