Participants needed for type 1 diabetes and menopause research project

Individuals living with type 1 diabetes who are experiencing or have experienced menopause or perimenopause are invited to take part in a new research study.

The project, titled “Navigating ‘the Change’: Type 1 Diabetes and Menopause,” is led by Harriet Evans, Trainee Clinical Psychologist, and Dr Rose Stewart, Diabetes Psychology Lead for Wales.

The research team is seeking UK-based participants aged 35 and above to share their experiences of accessing healthcare during menopause or perimenopause.

On social media, Dr Stewart said: “Please get involved with our research project to help address a massively under-represented area of diabetes care.”

Participation is voluntary, and all participants will receive a £20 Amazon gift voucher as a thank-you for taking part.
