Registration is now open for the Welsh Academy for Nursing in Diabetes (WAND) annual conference, a free educational event bringing together diabetes specialist nurses from across Wales for a day of learning, discussion and networking.
Taking place on Friday 2 October 2026 at the Leonardo Hotel in Cardiff, the annual event provides an opportunity for nurses working in diabetes to come together, share knowledge and explore the latest developments in diabetes care.
The programme has been designed to provide a broad range of educational content relevant to diabetes nursing practice, with sessions covering national updates, paediatric diabetes, insulin safety, type 1 diabetes and more.
Alongside the educational programme, the event will provide valuable opportunities for delegates to discuss current challenges and developments in diabetes care, share experiences and build connections with colleagues working across Wales.
The meeting is free to attend and is open to registered diabetes specialist nurses supporting people living with diabetes across Wales.
