Research photo contest winner

The winner of a competition organised by JDRF to show research in action has been revealed.

The Type 1 charity asked its researchers to send in images that showed their research in action for the chance to win a £500 travel bursary or £250 for the runners-up.

First prize went to Georgios Ponirakis, Clinical Research Coordinator at The University of Manchester.

Dr Sarah Cross, Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences and Oxford Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism (OCDEM), University of Oxford, came second and third.
