Details for the next TREND-UK National Diabetes Nursing Conference have been unveiled.

Now in its seventh year, the event will once again be held at two different locations. The first one will take place at the Renaissance Manchester City Centre Hotel on Friday, October 6 from 8:45am. The second location will be in London at the Radisson Blu Portman Hotel on Friday, October 13 from 9am.

The day-long CPD event will feature speakers who will provide practical advice on how to provide high-quality diabetes care by focusing on the individual, rather than their condition.

Learning during the day will be facilitated through case-based discussion and a choice of skill-shaping workshops.

The conference will conclude with a thought-provoking session on what it takes to be an effective diabetes nurse, and what the future might hold for the profession.

TREND-UK has a core committee of three co-chairs who are supported by two experienced associates with particular expertise in practice nursing, community diabetes services and pregnancy.

TREND-UK has welcomed the involvement of advisors representing in-patient nursing, district nursing and diabetes nursing in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

Anyone who is wanting to attend must join the TREND-UK network first.
