Healthcare professionals looking to raise awareness during Type 2 Diabetes Prevention Week 2025 can now access a range of dedicated resources to support their efforts.

NHS England has published a free digital toolkit to educate people on how to prevent type 2 diabetes.

Created for Type 2 Diabetes Prevention Week 2025, the toolkit is now available for individuals wanting to learn more about preventing the condition.

Taking place this week from May 26, to June 1, 2025, the joint campaign from NHS England and Diabetes UK aims to raise awareness of type 2 diabetes, how to prevent it, the complication risks and the groups at high-risk of developing the condition.

The campaign also encourages healthcare professionals to refer eligible people to the Healthier You NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme – an evidence-based lifestyle change programme which helps people at risk of type 2 diabetes to reduce their risk through managing their weight, eating more healthily and being more physically active.

The Type 2 Diabetes Prevention Week 2025 toolkit and supporting assets (zip folder), include:

  • A campaign partner toolkit including post copy, key messages and contact and useful information
  • Social media assets in a range of aspect ratios (1×1, 4×5, 9×16, and 16×9) designed for use across all major platforms
  • A banner – to add to websites and email signatures to encourage others to download their type 2 Diabetes Prevention Week toolkit
  • A poster – available for web and to download and print locally to display in local healthcare or community settings
  • Leaflets – available to download and print locally to display in local healthcare or community settings.

Access the toolkit here.
