Good practice, Type 1 diabetes

Young adults across the UK living with type 1 diabetes are still able to take part in a research study exploring experiences of moving from paediatric to adult diabetes services.

The study is being led by Katie Ash, Trainee Clinical Psychologist and researcher at the University of Hertfordshire, and aims to better understand how young people experience this important stage of care and how services can better support them during the transition.

To make participation as accessible as possible, there are several options for taking part. Participants can write independently about their experiences, have an informal discussion with Katie Ash beforehand or join a small group writing session with other participants.

The study is open to people aged 18 to 25 who have type 1 diabetes, are currently transitioning or have recently transitioned from paediatric to adult diabetes services and are living in the UK.

Participants will receive a £10 Love2Shop voucher as a thank you for their time. For further information, contact Katie Ash at k.ash@herts.ac.uk or access the study link here
