Date unveiled for next OPDN conference
The date for the annual National Conference of the Older People’s Diabetes Network (OPDN), chaired by Professor Alan Sinclair, has been unveiled.
The conference will include a variety of topics, including how to avoid hospitalisation, inpatient care, frailty, diabetes in care homes, neuropathy screening and insulin therapy.
Now in its sixth year, the event will once again take place at London’s Friends House in Kings Cross on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 from 830am to 5pm.
The February conference is open for all healthcare professionals who have an interest in the care of older people with diabetes. This includes nurses, GPs, public health doctors, care home managers and healthcare assistants.
A travel bursary has been awarded to help people attend next year’s OPDN. A total of six £50 travel awards are now available for people with diabetes, nurses or doctors in training to apply for.
