Type 2 diabetes, Type 2 prevention

Free Diabetes Prevention Week toolkits are now available to pre-order for those who are taking part in the campaign later this year.

The week-long awareness campaign will take place from April 1, 2019 and is a joint partnership between NHS England, Public Health England and Diabetes UK.

It was developed to raise awareness of type 2 diabetes, at-risk groups, complications and importantly, how to prevent the condition.

Posters, leaflets, waist tape measures, animated videos and logos which can be used by GP surgeries, pharmacies, local NHS organisations, councils or community organisations are available to order from the Campaign Resource Centre.

There are two toolkits available, one that includes type 2 diabetes prevention messaging and points to a local Healthier You service, and another that just includes generic type 2 diabetes prevention messaging.

For anyone who has any questions, email leicia.feare@nhs.net.
