Diabetes specialist nursing the focus of national event

The Diabetes Specialist Nurse (DSN) Forum UK is to hold its second face-to-face national conference in October – an exclusive event for DSNs. 

Designed by a team of DSNs, the conference will take place on Thursday, October 3, at the Copthorne Tara Hotel in Kensington, London.

Following the success of DSN Forum LIVE in 2023, the event is back for 2024 with a compelling agenda of presentations and insights.

Attendees will have exclusive access to a symposium and networking dinner the night before, and complimentary accommodation is also available for each delegate.

The aim of the conference is to bring together DSNs to share evidence-based best practice and discuss the latest research within the field. In addition, the event will provide attendees with the opportunity to network with other DSNs.

The event will also showcase posters and oral presentations from DSNs who have done amazing work in their local area.

Beth Kelly, Director of the DSN Forum UK, said: “This event is geared directly for DSNs because the content at other conferences have not been very suitable for us.

“We are delighted to provide complimentary accommodation to delegates as we know DSNs struggle to get funding from their Trust to attend conferences. Hopefully this means that DSNs from across the UK can come to our second in-person event.”

The DSN Forum LIVE conference will:

  • Improve awareness of the management and treatment of people with diabetes
  • Improve knowledge and understanding of the issues people face living with diabetes
  • Increase awareness of new technology and therapies
  • Give you the opportunity to network and share best practice.
