Diabetes and Endocrinology Conference

£15This year’s Diabetes and Endocrinology symposium encompasses an eclectic programme highlighting the clinical diversity seen within the specialty.
The symposium commences with clinical management updates in thyroid disease and pregnancy, hypocalcaemia, and the management of diabetes during Ramadan. We then move to a focus on balancing nutrition for optimal diabetes care (before lunch!).
The programme continues with an update on neuroendocrine disease, which has seen a significant increase in incidence and prevalence in recent years. Finally, we have a patient and multidisciplinary team based focus on the challenges associated with type 1 diabetes and exercise, followed by an update on the optimal use of continuous glucose monitoring and ‘closed loop’ systems.
The 11 short lectures are delivered by experts in their field, and the symposium has been designed such that it will be of relevance to all healthcare professionals working in the multidisciplinary team, and also trainees and medical students who are interested in a career in the specialty.
