Managing food and insulin for activity: what you need to know
Leeds Beckett University is hosting a weekend about type 1 diabetes and how to better manage food and insulin for activity. Throughout the weekend you will have the opportunity to try out different activities in a safe and supportive environment.
The event is open to adults aged 18 and over with type 1 diabetes. Adults who support someone with type 1 are also welcome, but they must accompany an adult with type 1.
The cost of the event is £100 which covers the full programme of events (including the activities) and catering. Catering includes evening meals on the Friday and Saturday and refreshments and lunches on the Saturday and Sunday.
The day programme will take place at our Headingley Campus and the evening programme at Weetwood Hall hotel, a short walk from the campus. If you wish to stay in Leeds on Friday and Saturday night, accommodation is available at Weetwood Hall. Accommodation is not included in the event charge.
