What more should be done to prioritise earlier diagnosis of diabetes, and what are the next steps for identifying those most at risk of developing type 2 diabetes? How can challenges around improving personalisation of care and educating patients to manage their condition be overcome? With the Public Accounts Committee reporting that the number of diabetes patients who develop complications is increasing, what more needs to be done to reduce complications and effectively manage co-morbidities? What lessons can be learnt from the National Diabetes Inpatient Audit data to improve hospital care?
