IDDT to hold diabetes event

Healthcare professionals are being urged to encourage the people they treat who have type 1 or 2 diabetes to attend an event dedicated to the condition later this month.

The InDependent Diabetes Trust (IDDT) will be hosting the face-to-face conference at the Kettering Park Hotel on Saturday, September 30.

Entitled ‘Tips, Techniques and Trials’, the event will reflect some of the issues that are important to people living with diabetes.

A variety of group discussions will be held during the event, as well as several speaker sessions from some of the most recognised figures in the industry, such as Professor Alan Sinclair – a global expert in diabetes in older people.

Samina Ali, Advanced Pharmacist with a special interest in diabetes, and Jane Cheetham, from Abbott Laboratories, will also be speaking.
