NHS webinar to discuss HCL therapy for pregnant women with type 1 diabetes

Hybrid closed loop therapy options for women with type 1 diabetes who are pregnant will be explored in an upcoming webinar discussion hosted by the NHS Diabetes Programme and CDEP.

The online event will be held virtually on Tuesday, October 8, from 12.30pm to 2pm, and will outline the pathways and process for providing hybrid closed loop (HCL) therapy in pregnancy.

The session will look at:

  • The NHS five-year implementation strategy for HCL technologies
  • How to maximise the benefits of HCL for women with type 1 diabetes who are pregnant
  • Practical examples of how maternity services have put HCL onboarding protocols in place
  • Key considerations for ICS leads.

The 90-minute webinar is free to attend, and an attendance certificate will be provided to each delegate.

Professor Eleanor Scott will be chairing the online event. Professor Partha Kar, Professor Helen Murphy, Nina Willer, Dr Emma Wilmot and Karen Kennedy will all be speaking during the webinar.
