Sign up to diabetes footcare network to share best practice
Members of the diabetes footcare community can be part of a professional forum by joining the English Diabetes Footcare Network (EDFN).
The benefits to members include sharing best practice and enjoying exclusive access to education, webinars, podcasts and the latest news and research.
The first meeting of the EDFN was held in London at the Royal College of Podiatry in March 2019, after a steering group was set up by a group of interested diabetes foot champions – Paul Chadwick, Mike Edmonds, Alistair McInnes, Richard Leigh and Christian Pankhurst.
The aim of the network is to improve care and reduce the number of amputations.
EDFN Chair Richard Leigh, Consultant Podiatrist at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, said: “With more than 400 members, the EDFN is a growing professional network offering a wide range of benefits. Sharing best practice and discussing the latest developments in diabetes footcare can only improve outcomes for patients and we would encourage those working within our community to sign up.”
