The programme for an international diabetic neuropathy event has been unveiled, with sessions set to cover a range of topics including disease-modifying agents, pain treatment and transcriptomics.

NEUROdiab has now published the programme for its 36th Annual Meeting, which is taking place from September 24 to September 27, at the Royal Olympic Hotel in Athens, Greece.

Open to anyone interested in diabetic neuropathy, the in-person event will see specialists share best practice and latest research as part of a drive to improve the lives of people who have developed nerve damage from high blood sugar.

The renowned meeting will showcase a wide-ranging scientific programme spanning the full scope of diabetic neuropathy, with sessions highlighting advances in diagnostic approaches for diabetic peripheral neuropathy, the role of SGLT2 inhibitors and strategies targeting hyperglycaemia-driven mechanisms.

Alongside this, the conference will host five symposia, including the inaugural EFAS-NEUROdiab Joint Symposium, two mini symposia and Youth Committee Symposium.

These will explore themes such as the relationship between diabetic neuropathy and the brain, the expanding clinical significance of autonomic neuropathy and contemporary insights into its epidemiology.

NEUROdiab is the leading scientific organisation for the study of diabetic neuropathy.
