Diabetes Digital Media scoops two major awards in a week
Midlands-based company Diabetes Digital Media has been honoured with two prestigious national awards this week for their work in the diabetes industry.
The company was named the Service Industries Entrepreneur of the Year in the Midlands Region at the NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards for 2018. The awards, now in their 6th year, took place in Birmingham on Tuesday, November 13 to celebrate the hard work and success stories of entrepreneurs across the UK.
Francesca James, Co-Founder of the NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards, said: “2018 has been a record year for the Great British Entrepreneur Awards in the number of entries we received. But the quality of applications has been above and beyond what we’ve seen in previous years. Just getting to the gala final as a finalist is a huge achievement given the competition on show, so to walk away with a trophy in your hand deserves huge congratulations.”
The following day Diabetes Digital Media also won the Most Influential Diabetes Technology Company of the Year category at the Diabetes Professional Care (DPC2018) Industry Awards.
These inaugural industry awards, in association with Diabetes Times, were held on Wednesday, November 14, which was also World Diabetes Day.
DPC founder Maggie Meer said: “Congratulations to all the companies and organisations, the awards are testament to their hard work, dedication, innovation and, more importantly, the life-changing difference they are making to people with diabetes.”
